Principal's Message

It's been another busy week at Marden Primary Academy. On Monday, Year 6 attended the Kent Police Open Day. The children learned about the different aspects of policing and I heard all about the dog show. You can read more about that and see the photos on 6WCK's page.

On Wednesday, the whole academy participated in sports day, including some of the parents and teachers! It was fantastic to see the children trying their best and showing resilience; particularly in the long distance running. The children showed great sportsmanship in cheering their friends on too. A huge congratulations to the KS1 winners Rainforest House and KS2 winners Desert House.

Today, Year 6 are enjoying their end of year treat. The inflatables are up, the children have enjoyed a water fight and it's almost time for the BBQ!

Thank you for your donations for the summer fair. We are busy organising a brilliant event and can't wait to see you all there on 20th July at 3pm.

Enjoy the warm weekend weather and I will see you all on Monday.

National Online Safety

Minecraft is a beloved classic of modern gaming. First released in 2011, this open-ended ‘sandbox’ game of building and exploration still has over 140 million players who happily return to play it at least once every month. Minecraft has also been utilised for much more than just entertainment: it’s sometimes used in schools to teach children coding, and it's also employed as a tool for computer-aided design, which is another valuable skill. Encouraging creativity and problem solving, Minecraft has plenty to offer gamers of all ages, and it's available on almost all video game platforms.

In the guide, you'll find tips on a number of potential risks such as in-game purchases, addiction and chatting with strangers.
