6WCK Learning Update

Central idea: Equal access to opportunities can make a difference in the world.

Kent Police Open Day: Year 6 enjoyed an eye-opening day, finding out what services Kent Police offer across the county and how they operate. The children were full of questions and thoroughly enjoyed all their interactions; the most memorable part of the day was the incredible dog show.

South East Rail Safety talk: On Tuesday, Year 5 and 6 received a rail safety talk which highlighted the importance of knowing how and why we should stay safe as well as the practicalities of buying tickets.

Sports day: Congratulations and great thanks must go to Year 6, who together set out all of the races and efficiently managed the equipment so that everyone could take part with very smooth organisation. Well done!

Transition to secondary school: Most of our Year 6 children spent a transition day at their new school on Thursday and some were very excited to travel independently. For many, this was their first experience of their new school: meeting their teachers; finding their way around and discovering new expectations. We are certainly very proud of the way our children have coped with their new adventure.
