Principal's Message

This week Marden Primary Academy had a Safeguarding audit undertaken by The Education People, an independent body specialist in this area. We are pleased to find that our processes are effective and that keeping children safe is of paramount importance across all facets of the school. We will continue to be reflective and improve where necessary and in particular, signpost what we do better.

This week we also hosted the One Stop Shop with a number of local community support leaders. It was nice to see you there and we are looking forward to hosting more similar events in the future. As always, if you ever need support for anything, we are happy to help.

Finally, I am looking forward to seeing you all at Sports Day next week. On the subject of sports, I am incredibly proud to announce that we won the LAT Cricket tournament today - read more about this on the Sports News page! Well done to all of the team!

Have a great weekend.

Donations of Uniform

We are working in partnership with Marden Food Bank to redistribute second-hand uniform to families in need. If you have any clean, good condition uniform items that you no longer require, please consider donating them.

All donation items are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the Vestry Hall or the academy office on Monday mornings.

Uniform Policy - Earrings

Please can we remind all parents that children with pierced ears should be wearing small stud earrings only and that these should be removed by parents at home prior to PE lessons or physical activity.

IMPORTANT: Children will be unable to participate in Sports Day events next week if they are wearing inappropriate earrings or other jewellery.

Changes to Wraparound Care

With effect from 1st September 2022 all sessions for Breakfast Club and Late Stay Club will need to be booked and paid for in advance via the Wraparound Care section on the My Child At School (MCAS) app. Parents will no longer be able to create negative balances or pay for sessions at a later date. If you normally pay via Childcare Vouchers, these will need to be processed in advance so we can credit account balances on My Child At School.

There will also be a 24-hour notice period required for cancellations.
