5R Learning Update

Central idea: Maintaining peace and resolving conflict can help humans to live harmoniously

This week in maths, we have thrown ourselves into thinking all about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We have been thinking about faces, angles, vertices and edges. If you get the time at home, encourage the children to think about the shapes around them, and the properties of those shapes - it's all very useful!

For our inquiry, we have been busy writing persuasive letters, as well as character and setting descriptions for our forthcoming narrative. The children have been putting a lot of thought into their writing, and considering how to incorporate the key skills that they have learnt. We are sure that the narratives will be great.

We have had fun practising for Sports day, next week, and cannot wait to put the practice into action!
