Q. My student attended or played in the Boys Basketball game at TD Garden on March 10th. Should I be concerned?
The following message was received from TD Garden regarding COVID-19 and the MIAA events held at the Garden this week: “The TD Garden is in regular consultation with and has been following the guidance of City health officials and experts from Mass General Hospital. According to these experts, event participants, staff and spectators are at low risk for contracting COVID-19 from use of the TD Garden’s facilities.
The TD Garden increased their cleaning regimen and disinfectant protocol in the locker rooms, “back of the house” areas and arena bowl last week, prior to the arrival of the Utah Jazz on 3/5. The regimen was followed after the Jazz game and the Tampa Bay Lightning game on 3/6, so that the locker room and other TD Garden areas were cleaned and disinfected several times prior to the arrival of any MIAA participants. This regimen continues to be in place and more can be found here: https://www.tdgarden.com/.” (posted 3/18/20)
