Slope measures the steepness and direction of a line.
m is the variable that represents slope.
It is the ratio of the vertical change (🔺y) to the horizontal change (🔺x) between two points on the line.
Slope Formula:
Slope = rise over run!
m = 🔺y / 🔺x
(x1, y1) and (x2, y2) are any two distinct points on the line.
Positive Slope: Line rises from left to right.
Negative Slope: Line falls from left to right.
Zero Slope: Horizontal line.
Undefined Slope: Vertical line.
