This is a very short story, all dialogue, in honor of "Zootopia"'s Golden Globe win! Imagine they're sitting on the couch in Nick's apartment...
Movie Night
“Hey, Nick, what movie should we watch?”
“Beats me, Carrots.”
“Let me flip through the channels and see what's on...So many channels, and nothing's on! How do you get this many channels, anyway?”
“Um—you don't want to know the answer to that.”
“Cheese and crackers, Nick!”
“Can we get back to discussing movie choices?”
“There are none! Not on T.V., anyway. Huh...What's The Golden Globes?”
“It's some fancy awards show that some strange-looking animals put on every year.”
“Wait—did they just say 'Zootopia'? How do they know about the city? I've never seen them around here.”
“Well—you didn't hear it from me, but—I think Weaselton decided that there wasn't enough money in bootlegging movies and decided to make one on the side. A documentary about the city, the missing mammals case...and us.”
“Seriously?!”
“For once, yes. Apparently he sold it to this movie-loving species under a pseudonym in exchange for consideration in their awards shows.”
“That's—Nick, did you hear that?! Zootopia won! We won!”
“Whoa. Not bad for a sly fox and a dumb bunny, eh, Carrots?”
“It's awesome!”
“Agreed. But somehow, watching a movie after that feels...anticlimactic. But if you really want to watch a movie, I guess we could, say, Netflix and chill?”
“I admire your subtlety, Slick. Anyway...We do have something to celebrate, so...”
