Furever & A Day
“Oops…!” Judy Hopps dropped her new carrot pen as she walked across The Bridge Where It All Began. But this time she didn’t have to search for Nick--Wilde, wonderful Nick. Even as she bent to grab her pen, she saw him coming from the opposite direction, dressed to the nines in that tux, complete with the corsage she’d given him.
Her dress ruffled as she reached for the pen, and she was briefly unbalanced as she gathered it--only to see Nick’s paw retrieve said pen. Judy looked up, smiling coyly. “We’ve got to stop meeting like this.”
“Agree to disagree.” He replied in kind, but the playful smirk vanished as their paws touched.
“The truth is, Carrots, I live to watch your eyes light up when you see me. For that sly smile that says, ‘thanks for helping me up my hustle game, dumb fox’. For the way you now hoard carrot pens so that you can play back my voice and think of me.” At her shocked expression, he quipped, “Don’t think I didn’t notice that little detail. Now, where was I?” His emerald eyes twinkled as he spoke. “Oh, that’s right… For the way I was so not prepared to get an eyeful of Ms. Workaholic in a dress. And let’s not forget--for watching you leave a room--as long as I’m right behind you.”
Judy giggled, shifting slightly, disappointed at her lack of pockets with tissues in them. But the thought vanished as she caught her fox getting down on one knee…with a box…and a beautiful amethyst ring. “Judith Laverne Hopps, will you marry me?”
“Whoa. That was definitely an overshare. Buuuut, this is a special moment, so you totally have the blessing of NIB--”
“Not now!” hissed Gary--with a smile in his voice--holding his tail in front of her eyes as fox and bunny kissed.
