To provide a consistent distance learning environment, CC1, CC2, Model, Audio, TALON and CCP distance classrooms are all configured with the same CISCO technology. They are now called Connected Classroom at NPC. Here are training videos and other instructor resources for using the CISCO Connected Classrooms.

History of TALON

Technology to Advance Learning Outcomes at Northland (TALON) was a project funded by Title III, Part A Native American-Serving Non-tribal Institution (NASNTI) grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Partnering initially with 10 area high schools (Shonto Prep, Hopi, Red Mesa, Mogollon, Winslow, Joseph City, Holbrook, Snowflake, Blue Ridge and St. Johns), NPC provides instruction by its certified faculty in dual enrollment general education courses through classrooms connected by CISCO videoconferencing system. With TALON, high school juniors and seniors can now take dual enrollment courses during the normal school day on their own high school campuses. The success of TALON provided the prototype for Connected Classroom.
