Payroll is completed on a bi-weekly basis, every other Tuesday. You can expect to receive payment by the end of the week in which payroll is done, typically on Fridays (it takes the bank a little while to process).
Each Friday reflects the work done during a two week period spanning Sunday to Saturday, and the following Sunday to Saturday.
In other words, you get paid on Friday for the previous two weeks of work from Sunday (of two weeks ago) to Saturday (which was 5 days ago).
Am I paid according to my scheduled time or my clocked in/out times?
You are paid according to exactly when you clock in and out.
If you accidentally forget to clock in, please let Rucha know as soon as you can!
Do I get paid for closing?
Yes!
Closing procedures should last no more than 30 minutes, so this is the maximum amount of time after store hours that you should be in the store. Every closing shift is scheduled for an extra half hour to give you the time to close. Unless you let Rucha know why, you will not be paid for any additional time past this 30 minutes.
How can I get paid 1.4x ($18.20/hr)?
Usually by picking up a shift last minute, or by working on Sundays.
We also pay 1.4x ($18.20/hr) for every hour worked after you've worked 40 hours in one week.
What if I have a problem, or think I might have one, with my payment during the week?
Bring this potential problem to Rucha's attention ASAP by emailing her.
In that email be sure to include what hours you think you haven't been compensated for, specific shifts that may not have been logged, or any other reason an issue has occurred.
