The University of Kansas College of Architecture, Planning, and Design is offering FREE registration to our 20/20 Leaders for their Design Camp June 12-18.

If you are interested in a career in Architecture and will be entering into your high school sophomore, junior, or senior year, this fall, you are eligible to attend.

WashU Preview Day
WashU Preview is designed to connect diverse students (such as underrepresented students of color, first generation to college students, and students from low-income backgrounds) with a collaborative, innovative, and passionate community.
WashU Preview is an invitation-based program. To be considered, students should fill out a Getting to Know You form.

Windows on Williams
Windows on Williams (WOW) gives high school seniors the opportunity to spend three all-expenses-paid days at Williams. WOW is a selective program open to high school students in the U.S. and Puerto Rico; preference is given to high-achieving students who couldn’t otherwise afford to visit Williams.
The fall 2022 WOW dates are Thursday, September 22 - Saturday, September 24 and Thursday, October 20 - Saturday, October 22. There are two application deadlines. Regardless of when you apply, you’ll have the opportunity to select which WOW program you want to attend. Please note that currently participation in WOW requires proof of vaccination against COVID-19, including a booster if eligible, and masks must be worn inside all campus buildings. We will notify WOW attendees should campus COVID-19 policies change.

Have-A-Look at Haverford College
Have-A-Look, a fly-in program designed for students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in higher education, offers the opportunity to become acquainted with the academic and social opportunities at Haverford.
Program Dates: October 30- November 1, 2022

Access to Amherst ( A2A)
As part of Amherst College's commitment to diversity, the Office of Admission will be hosting Access to Amherst (A2A)in the fall to introduce prospective applicants to Amherst's campus, student body, faculty, and classes. A2A is available to all prospective students, but the selection committee prioritizes the invitation of students from historically excluded groups, as well as first-generation students. To support socioeconomic diversity, the selection committee will also prioritize students from families with limited financial resources, regardless of cultural or racial background.
Program Dates: Saturday, October 1 - Monday, October 3
Application deadline is Wednesday, August 17th, 2022.
Discover Middlebury
Discover Middlebury is our annual “fly-in” program for students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education. We have not determined if the program will be in-person or virtual. If the program is virtual it will be October 6th-8th and if it is in-person it will be October 9th-11th. We will offer a window into student and academic life on campus by including opportunities to engage with other participants, current students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The deadline to apply is September 9th, 2022.

Discover Swarthmore Fly-In Program
Discover Swarthmore, held each fall, is an all-expenses paid overnight fly-in program for high achieving high school seniors. Admissions pays for all transportation, meals, and on-campus housing expenses for students selected.
This year, there is two programs to give students maximum flexibility. The dates are Thursday, September 29-Saturday October 1, 2022 or Thursday, October 27- Saturday, October 29, 2022.
The application is currently open. To be considered, submit your application by July 7th and high school transcript by July 14th.

The inaugural Health Professions Summer Program is a week-long program designed for incoming (2022-2023) high school juniors and seniors who are interested in a career helping others through the health care industry. Participants will come to Meet, Explore and Experience a variety of health care professions with a small cohort of like-minded high school students.

Central Summer Academy 2022
The Central Summer Academy is designed for incoming UCM student who can start college early by taking foundational courses and living on campus.
Dates: Saturday, June 11, 2022- Friday, July 2022
Participants of the Central Summer Academy will:
Complete college credit designed to help you acclimate to the rigors of college-level courses.
Take general education requirement and introductory-level courses for a combined 5 hours of college credit.
Live on campus and get involved with student activities designed to help you explore UCM and the Warrensburg community.
Make friends and find your place at UCM.
Develop valuable study skills and get to know UCM faculty Members.

The Summer Venture in Business (SVB) is a pre-college summer academy housed in the University of Kansas School of Business for underrepresented ethnic minority students in high school and/or potential first-generation college students who are interested in business.

Working For Youth, Youthled KC, and Pro X are inviting youth like you across the Kansas City region to apply for a paid summer internship. These opportunities can be face-to-face or virtual and are scheduled to launch on June 6, 2022. As an intern, you will be able to gain professional experience that can help you achieve your goals.

The NYU Virtual Summer Art Program is an online program for high school students interested in exploring the variety and depth that the field of fine arts has to offer.
This program is designed to enhance your technical and creative skills, develop your portfolio, and explore the practical elements of how to become a successful practicing artist in New York City!
Cost is $3000, but scholarships are available. If you want to apply for a scholarship, please see Dr. DeVries in the Sumner Success Center for assistance (she's done this before and successfully helped students get scholarships to summer programs)

We'd love for you to join us for our 2022 Pharmacy Summer Camp!
What:
A one-day, activity packed experience to give students a glimpse of not only what it's like to be a pharmacist, but also an opportunity to see firsthand what it's like to study at one of our three UMKC Pharmacy campuses providing hands-on exercises and the ability to learn about the wide variety of pharmacy career practice areas!
Who:
Any student who has completed 9th grade or above, current college students, or individuals looking for career change are encouraged to attend!
