Focus is the online publication for the Sumner Academy of Arts and Sciences Sumner Success Center. This is a one-stop shop for all information about post-secondary opportunities for Sumner Students. Updates are published weekly and sent to students and parents. Please take time each week to read through the weekly updates!

Dr. Martha DeVries
College and Career Coordinator
My role is to direct our department as we prepare you for next steps after high school including applying for college, scholarships, and financial aid. I work with all students, but I specialize in highly selective colleges and scholarships and assisting DACA students with their college plans.
Ms. Jenae Anderson
KU GEARUP Site Coordinator
I work with students and families in the classes of 2023 an 2024 to provide college and career readiness programming, academic support, and college financial planning. I also work with a group of students called College Ambassadors who help spread the word about college-going.
