What are Skills for Self-Organising?
This course of L&D sessions were trialled at Lush throughout July and August 2021.
‘Skills for Self-Organising’ is targeted at Support Teams across Lush Group who wish to explore and learn about different methods and approaches to decision making, management, meetings, feedback and general team and self-organisation.
You may have heard different terms such as ‘self-management,’ ‘consent decision making,’ or ‘flat structure,’ but what does this really mean in practice? And how does it work in a business like Lush? Understanding how governance systems can help us grow as leaders is key to becoming a regenerative business. Join your host, Ruth Andrade, in exploring some of these concepts, and help build our capacity to develop ourselves and others around us.

Skills for Self Organising- Owning your own development
Lush is an atypical company. On the one hand, we don't have a well-defined corporate ladder to climb, on the other there is much opportunity for growth in different ways within the business.
In this session, we explored what being accountable for your development can look like, what alternatives are open to you and how you can craft your own path to mastery within the business (or even outside of the business). You should watch this sessions whether you are feeling a bit stuck in your role, and want to invite more growth in, or if you are excited about using Lush as a platform to unleash all of your potential and explore your growing edges.
Skills for Self Organising- How to grow people around you
How amazing would it be if we could all intentionally support each other's development? Whether or not you are in a management or team leading role, this session will explore how we can create conditions for people to thrive, feel empowered and bring more value into the work they do.
