What is Lushopedia?
Lushopedia is our internal hub of knowledge, bringing together the wisdom from across the business into one place. It’s packed with the latest ingredient information from teams like Buying, Regulatory Affairs, and Content. It was a project that started in 2022. Ro and the Buying Team headed the project to centralise Lush’s wealth of ingredient knowledge in one location. Created initially with the Inventors in mind, this project grew into the information juggernaut it is today.
We are not finished though (will we ever be?), so make sure you keep checking in as we are adding more features and information every day!

It’s filled with a wealth of information at your fingertips, showcasing beautiful buying stories that highlight what makes our products so special—from our Buyers straight to you!
From understanding the origins of our ingredients to exploring their functions and benefits, lots of information has been added to give you a deeper appreciation of what goes into your favourite ingredients and to share the wonderful world of Lush with all. Curious about the scent of an ingredient, or the story behind its sourcing? Lushopedia has you covered!
The best bit? When you use Lushopedia, you’re tapping into the same information as everyone else in the business. That means you get to see the exact buying stories incredible inventors see, straight from our creative buyers. How cool is that?!

Internal access only
This resource is exclusively for internal access, so feel free to use this information to create amazing content or training materials for self-learning, which you can then share with our customers! Just use your Lush login to get started. If you have any questions, there’s a handy link at the bottom of each page where you can reach out to us.There’s also a quick fire tour on the landing page to help get you started.
Data from UK buyers (for now!)
Right now, the info you’ll find here is specific to the UK&I and UK-supplied Export Markets. If you’re in another market, just check in with your local buying team to make sure you’ve got the right source information for your market. A good tip: every essential oil and absolute has the same source globally so you can at least use that safely! Once Lushopedia has been put through its paces by you all, we’d love to expand it to other markets too.
Not everything can be shared
Things change like the wind! Please keep in mind, the copy statement can be shared publicly but any copy written from the buying story is best to be checked with Green Claims to ensure this is still current. They can be contacted on Green Claims We don’t always own the content. If you see a source in brackets such as (Wikipedia) please do not use for external comms as it would be plagiarism. Good tip: The Lush website (especially in English) has plenty of recent, Lush-owned content you can use.

Currently every staff member with a Lush website login can access Lushopedia except our Partner Markets. We are looking into this and will update the teams with any changes.

Super simple! Just click https://lushlusopedia.lush.com/ and use the same email and password you use for lush.com. Don’t forget to save it to your favourites! If you can't see what you think you should, let us know, and we’ll sort it out for you.

Great question. When you're exploring Latest Ingredients or Buying Stories, you can use the black Filters box on the side to filter down your search. Looking for ingredients from Brazil? Or maybe something moisturising that supports forests? Just keep playing around with those filters until you find your perfect match.

If your team has a shared group email address, that’s the best way for them to log in. You could even schedule some research time using shared devices like iPads during quiet times! Just make sure not to share individual logins, as different permissions might be set for each user.

Lushopedia is like our internal encyclopedia—a treasure trove of ingredient info designed for us to adapt based on who we’re talking to - whether it’s for internal training or external presentation, we’ve got what you need! The commerce website, on the other hand, is crafted with our customers in mind, using ingredient information that can be shared with them directly.
