Scholarships are offered by schools, employers, individuals, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, and professional and social organizations, and it can feel overwhelming to search through them. Over 90% of scholarships come directly from institutions, and most of the time, students are automatically considered for those when they apply . Local & Regional Scholarships, Popular Institutional Tuition Discounts

This is Arapahoe's list of vetted scholarships that we've collected over the years. Those that are highlighted have been awarded to at least one of our students in the last two years. The second page of this spreadsheet features common institutional scholarships that are awarded to our graduates, though it's not exhaustive and remains a work in progress!

AHS Local/Reigional Scholarships

All students graduating from high school in Colorado qualify for COF, The College Opportunity Fund. If you took a CE course at Arapahoe, you already have an account. If not, click the link & register for free!


WUE, pronounced "woo-ee," is an inter-state tuition discount program through which participating schools provide non-resident savings for western students. Eligible students pay no more than 150% of the in-state cost of tuition on hundreds of programs outside their home state. Rules vary widely among colleges, so check each school's website for qualificiations.

Many of Colorado’s colleges and universities offer free tuition for lower-income, in-state families who meet certain eligibility requirements. These tuition promise programs, as they’re known, cover the gap in funds left over once federal or state grants are awarded after students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Colorado Application for State Financial Aid. ASCENT is a state-wide program that allows seniors to participate in concurrent enrollment the year after 12th grade at no tuition cost. It essentially pays for the first year of college/community college/trade school for qualified students who graduate with at least 9 CE credits, not including room & board or other fees.  Students must attend one of the participating schools in Colorado: Metro, Mesa, CSU Pueblo, UNC, Colorado Mountain College, Western, UCCS, Pickens Tech, Emily Griffith, or any Community College.

The TREP program creates the opportunity for qualified students in an educator career pathway to concurrently enroll in postsecondary courses for the two years after the 12th grade year. Students must have completed at least one course in the education pathway to qualify.
