Scholarships are offered by schools, employers, individuals, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, and professional and social organizations, and it can feel overwhelming to search through them. Over 90% of scholarships come directly from institutions, and most of the time, students are automatically considered for those when they apply . This is Arapahoe's list of vetted scholarships that we've collected over the years. Those that are highlighted have been awarded to at least one of our students in the last two years. The second page of this spreadsheet features common institutional scholarships that are awarded to our graduates, though it's not exhaustive and remains a work in progress!

WUE, pronounced "woo-ee," is an inter-state tuition discount program through which participating schools provide non-resident savings for western students. Eligible students pay no more than 150% of the in-state cost of tuition on hundreds of programs outside their home state. Rules vary widely among colleges, so check each school's website for qualificiations.
Many of Colorado’s colleges and universities offer free tuition for lower-income, in-state families who meet certain eligibility requirements. These tuition promise programs, as they’re known, cover the gap in funds left over once federal or state grants are awarded after students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Colorado Application for State Financial Aid. The TREP program creates the opportunity for qualified students in an educator career pathway to concurrently enroll in postsecondary courses for the two years after the 12th grade year. Students must have completed at least one course in the education pathway to qualify.
This is a collection of external/private scholarship opportunities shared by other students in the Denver Metro area and compiled by Metro Denver. They update this list once a year, but due to the time that it takes to update the information, some scholarships may or may not exist any longer.
Those who are accepted into the Cadet Program work part-time in Denver’s Public Safety agencies while attending college full-time. Cadets are currently compensated $18.29 per hour. Those accepted into the program receive paid in-state tuition and books at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU) or the University of Colorado Denver (UCD)
Boettcher Foundation Scholarship Program. Full tuition, lengthy application process.
Daniels Fund Scholarship. $25K/year toward unmet need.
Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.$20,000, non renewable.
Colorado Garden Foundation Scholarship. Full-tuition.
Stamps Scholars Program. $5,400 to $75,000. The Stamps Scholarship is a nationally prestigious merit scholarship program. Iterations of this scholarship exist at 43 schools including many highly ranked ones. It is well worth checking out.
QuestBridge Scholarship. QuestBridge is a program that helps low income but high achieving students go to college for free. It literally sounds too good to be true. Students apply to a whole list of colleges at once and rank their choices. They then receive results in an Early Action round and are eligible for a second consideration in Regular Decision. Students who match a college are awarded a full ride scholarship!
