Y10 Library Trip
Our Year 10s represented the school on a trip to the local library, Thimblemill Library, last Thursday.
Whilst there, students had the opportunity to find out all about the libraries’ facilities and check out books.
The Year 10s were very lucky as they got to see the temporary exhibition that is currently on at Thimblemill Library.
From City of Empire to City of Diversity: a visual journey
This exhibition, ‘From City of Empire to City of Diversity’, included photographs from the Dyche Collection as well as photographs from the Birmingham Archives, that show portraits of people living in the local area. The photographs examine how Birmingham’s history of Empire has shaped both its past and present.
The boys took great interest in the exhibition and had the opportunity to ask questions about the portraits and the collection, which they did with great respect.
The remaining Year 10s will get to see this exciting exhibition this week!
