Calling all Young People with Additional Needs….. The RISE Youth Forum Needs You!

Birmingham City Council (BCC)  are recruiting up to 12 young people (aged 11-25 years old) to join The RISE (Respect Inclusion Support & Equity) Youth Forum.

For the last 2 years, BCC has successfully brought together a diverse range of Young People with Additional Needs/ Disability with different skills and experiences, to work in co-production with BCC and participate in discussions and decisions about policies and practices affecting their lives through delivery locally and nationally at a strategic and operational level.

Our Young People are experts by experience! Here at BCC we are delighted to be expanding our Additional Needs/ Disability pupil voice forum. We are inviting all Young People to apply to hold a place on the RISE Youth Forum.

Listening, hearing and acting upon the voice of Young People is at the heart of all the legislative changes that have taken place over many years. In our view, Young People are the most central part of how we should be shaping the developments and how we make the best use of our resources going forward.

We recognise that they are the experts by experience and their contributions are important to us.
