Until this year we have delivered PSHE and Humanities as a collective subject called opening minds.
This year we are separating the individual subjects.
PSHE in year 7.
We cover the following topics;
- Moving on - transition from primary to secondary
- Friendship - making and keeping friends - bullying and conflict resolution
- Drugs - managing risk and peer pressure, learning about a range of drugs
- Relationships and sex - puberty, sexuality and gender, HIV
- Information advice and guidance - skills and qualities, careers, the world of work
- Citizenship - what do we need to know from being British to being a Global citizen
