Computing in Year 7
· We start by looking at how the internet works. Understanding the difference between the internet and the World Wide Web and how data travels round networks
· Then we learn some basic programming skills using Scratch and the BBC Micro:Bit
· We develop skills in computational thinking and investigate how data is represented with binary code
· We look at the different parts of computer systems
· Using Kodu we look at games development and reinforce our coding and logical thinking skills
