Students will work directly from Still Life.

They will develop a composition using a range of different collage and painting media inspired by the artist Fernand Leger

Skills: Developing observational drawing, collage, and painting .

Knowledge and Understanding: :Exploring pictorial space and colour theory. Making connections with the work of Fernand Leger.

Spring Term

Delauney Figures: Studying the figure in movement,

Working with colour and geometry inspired by the work of Robert and Sonia Delauney.

Skills: Drawing and watercolour painting.

Knowledge and Understanding: : Transforming figurative images using geometry, colour and pattern. Making connections with the work of Robert and Sonia Delauney.

Summer Term

Aboriginal Art

Students to create images based on Australian Aboriginal paintings.

Skills: Observational drawing and print making.

Knowledge and Understanding: Developing pattern and compositions. Making connections between Aboriginal Art and their own.
