Aquatics UOI - Strokes Development. Improvement of freestyle and backstroke. Introduction / development of breaststroke and butterfly.
What can you do at home?
Motivate your child to participate in activities which could involve volleyball, newcomball, badminton, tennis.
Chat with your child about the good things and the challenges he/she is facing to perform any skills of net games.
Talk to him or her about the successful criteria of any of the swimming strokes mentioned above (eg. streamline body position, arms stroke, legs propulsion),
Performing Arts
Rhythm and beat - the difference between, as well as an exploration of the various note values (quarter, half, whole, eighth, sixteenth) and their accompanying rests.
In addition, when the students have completed their masks, they will be working alone or in groups to create a skit that they will perform for the class. I will select 2 or 3 skits for performance at our Primary Assembly on March 18th.
What can you do at home?
Ask your child to write some rhythmic patterns and perform them for you.
Performing Arts
For their PYP exhibition, the students will plan and create art (individually or in groups) that is personally meaningful and that represents their understanding of their central idea.
What can you do at home?
The final piece of art is important but we highly value the whole creating process. Talk to your child about how they could represent their understanding through art. Help them to find inspiration through books and on the internet.
