Objectives for the week...
- Brainstorm ideas for action
- ATL Self Assessment
- Synthesize knowledge in order to prepare for presentation
- Make sure process journal is organised
- Create bio card
This week, students are beginning to plan for their action as a result of their learning through research. Students are challenged to find actions that can assist either the local or global community. They are also going to consider the "why" of their action (Who will benefit from this action? How will it impact various communities? Why is this action necessary? Is it sustainable? etc) when planning for it.
This week's Present-Connect-Reflect will have two focus points.
1) Students will share their thoughts on actions that they are thinking about taking as a result of their inquiries (see the action template above)
2) Students will speak about the PYPx process in more general terms. Specifically we would like them to relate what in the Exhibition process they are proud about, what they found challenging and what surprised them (either about themselves as learners, the process or the content investigated)
Students are getting ready for staging day in a few weeks. They are considering how they will present all of their findings to the community, and how that presentation of their knowledge might look and sound different, based on who they are speaking to. They are spending time this week considering the information they will share with various members of our community, and how they can hook someone in.
Engaging with the inquiry process- sorting out (synthesizing, interpreting our information, creating and communicating/collaborating with others).
