User Role: Administrator, Editor, Operator
Generate a personal access token (PAT) based on your role type to securely access the API.
Personal access tokens (PATs) are associated with the user UUID. Each token is named uniquely by the user, so two different users can give their individual PAT the same name and have no conflict.
Example: User A and User B have unique tokens named MyToken. Each of those tokens are different and specific to their associated user.
1. From the Dashboard, select the profile icon in the top right corner of the window.
2. Select Access Tokens from the drop down menu.
3. From the Personal Access Token page, click the Add Token button.
4. Give your personal access token a name.
5. Select the expiration date of this token.
6. Select a role to define permissions for this token.
7. Click the Generate Token button.
The Personal Access Token page will display the newly generated token and a notification will appear that states a New token was created.
8. Copy the personal access token and save it in a secure location.
This is the only opportunity to do so, as it will disappear for security purposes.
A new Personal Access Token is generated and available to use.
