"Inventing for the Future" Group Work:

In this homework assignment, you will take on the role of a scientist tasked with inventing something that will help society in the near future.

Working in a group of three, your challenge is to come up with (develop) a creative and innovative idea for a new technology or product that solves a specific problem or addresses a particular need in society.

  Consider the current global trends and challenges, such as climate change, overpopulation, energy efficiency, or medical advancements. 

Think about the impact that your invention could have on people's lives and/or the environment.

To complete this assignment, you will need to:

1. Choose a problem or need that you want to address with your invention.

2. Research and gather information about the current technologies and solutions that exist to address the same problem.

3. Brainstorm and generate a list of potential solutions, and select the most promising one.

4. Create a detailed plan for your invention, including a description of how it works, what it is made of, and how it will be manufactured and marketed.

5. Draw a diagram, a sketch or a prototype of your invention and include an explanation of how it works.

6. Write a short paragraph explaining the benefits and impact of your invention on society and why you believe it is the best solution to the problem you have chosen.

7. Present your invention to the class, explaining your idea and how it works.
