Unit 1 - Paper Sculpture Project

Students completed paper sculpting and composed a Paper Sculpture Legend by writing about each piece of their final project. Students worked on presentation skills while sharing their sculptures with one another.

How does my brain work?

Unit 1 - The Brain Study

Students completed a study of the brain by writing facts collected from reading children's literature and viewing kid-friendly media about the human brain. Students created models of the brain complete with labels and a report of all they learned.

What are my strengths and interests?

Unit 1 - Where I'm From Poem + Silhouette Portrait

Students completed their silhouette portraits and shared poetry with their peers. They learned about each other's multiple intelligence types. They expressed what they value about life and told about experiences they have outside of school, such as at home and beyond.

4TH GRADE

What are my creative and muitiple intelligence types?

Unit 1 - Compare/Contrast Essay + Spilt Face or Micrography Portrait

Students completed their choice of two portrait types: micrography or split face. Through writing students shared their unique perspectives of what it means to be gifted and incorporated their interests and strengths into words around facial features or symbolism on one side of their face.

5TH GRADE

What is my personality type and how do my strengths help me in the real world?

Unit 1 - Life Story + Digital Mosaic Portrait

Students completed unit 1 final products & presentations by sharing their life stories and how the strengths they possess will carry them into their future world and careers. Every child had a very unique and special story to tell and we loved getting to know more about everyone!
