Unit 1 - Paper Sculptures
Students engage in tinkering and experimenting with paper to create a sculpture that represents each student's personality traits, likes/preferences and personal characteristics. Completed paper sculptures will be displayed in the BBE foyer display case very soon!

2ND GRADE
Am I a left or right-brained thinker?
Unit 1 - The Brain
Students self-assess to determine if their brain is left or right-dominant. Acting as neurologists, students study the brain's unique characteristics and exercise both sides of the brain during brain games and activities.

Students listened to a book called, What Do You See? A Conversation In Pictures. A photographer sends her everyday photos to an author/illustrator. The author/illustrator adds what "he sees'" to the ordinary objects in the photos--Students took small, everyday items and drew what they saw them to be! Students are also working on sharing their uniqueness in digital portfolios.
