Band Camp

Summer Band Camp consist of a total of thirteen days of rehearsals.

Band IS NOT an ala-carte activity. High School band begins in July (approximately 30 days prior to the first football game) The finalized dates will be posted around the first week of December after the OHSAA November meeting to set the official start of athletic practices and the seasons. This ensures that students who are playing fall sports and are in band will be able to attend both.
Enrollment in band is on a yearly basis (summer practice, band camp, marching band, and concert band). The prerequisite for HS band is a successful participation in band during 8th grade as well as full attendance during summer band camp. Students must participate in all sections. Students are required to attend ALL band rehearsals and performances. Band members who are on the varsity football team must make arrangements with Miss Sandy before summer practice begins. Varsity football players who are unable to march on Friday nights will not be scheduled or receive credit for band during the first grading period. Candidates for Majorette and Flag Line must have participated in 7th and 8th grade band to qualify for those squads and must be in band at the time of tryouts. After the marching band season, they will resume playing their instrument in the concert band.

2025 Camp

All students should be fitted / try on their uniform on the assigned days prior to the first day of camp!

1. Three Camp days 9:00AM  to 1:00PM at the high school July 21st through the 23rd, 2025. It is REQUIRED of ALL band Members!

2. Five MANDATORY Camp days 9:00AM  to 4:00PM at the high school July 24th through the 30th , 2025.

3. Five night rehearsals after band camp in the beginning of August.

Reminder that forms and fees are due the first day of camp.
Forms are now on final forms and should be updated each year or as needed.

Band Camp is MANDATORY for ALL members of the LHS Band. Camp is the prerequisite to joining High School Band each year, so please plan accordingly.

Varsity football players (as determined by the head football coach that are not permitted to march at half time during football season) WILL NOT attend band camp, they will rejoin band at the beginning of the second grading period.

Mandatory Full Band rehearsals are July 21st through the 30th, 2025.

2026 = July 20-31

2027 = July 19-30

2028 = July 17-28
