In Reception we have enjoyed Going on a Bear Hunt! The children created their own maps and followed them as we went on an adventure through the grass, snowstorm, mud and forest. Can you remember the description of the bear in the cave? What would you do if you found the bear?

In phonics we are beginning to blend our sounds to build words. The children are becoming expert sound hunters at school and at home. We have learnt the names of lots of different shapes this week, even finding them hidden in our environment.

Thank you to all the children for joining in with our Sponsored Scoot this week. The children were so excited to complete their laps and tell all their family and friends how amazingly they did.

In Nursery we enjoyed learning the story Going on a Bear Hunt. We even explored the Forest School this week but didn't find any bears in there! We have also been listening to and identifying sounds in our surroundings, distinguishing between familiar and unfamiliar sounds.

The children enjoyed joining in with the Sponsored Scoot and completed very fast laps of the big playground.
