This week we have been learning:
Maths - we have been solving word problems involving measuring mass in grams and kilograms.Â
Writing - we have been learning about the present tense and statement sentences so that we can write a non-chronological report next week.
History - we have been learning who the Wright brothers were and how they became the first people to fly a plane.
Science - we have looked at different materials and started thinking about what their properties make them suitable for.
Art - the children have investigated primary and secondary colours.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - we will be measuring temperature and then starting to work on halves, quarters and wholes in our new fractions topic.
Writing - we will be using our knowledge of the present tense, statement sentences and the structure of information texts conjunctions to write non-chronological reports on owls.
Science - we will be exploring different materials by stretching, bending and twisting them and seeing what happens.
