Our writing over the last two weeks has been based on the story of Halibut Jackson. The children have loved this new story. We have written a character description and a diary entry of his week. In maths, we have been naming and exploring 2D shape. In science, we have begun exploring our senses. The children have really enjoyed our new unit of work in art on printing. So far we have printed using our hands and made rubbings. In history the children have been excited to talk about their favourite toys and find out about the sort of toys you played with in the past.
Spring 1:
Maths - We will exploring 2D and 3D shape as well as identifying and continuing shape patterns and sequences.
Writing - Throughout the term we will be writing a diary entry, recount and an information text. We will continue to reinforce writing sentences which start with a capital letter and have a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark at the end. We wi
History - In history we will be answering the question 'How have toys changed?'
Science - After half term we will be exploring our senses.
Art: In art we will be exploring printing. We will be making and using our own printing tiles to create printed pieces of artwork.
