Year 5 has been a whirlwind of learning this term! In maths, we've mastered measuring volume and are now conquering the world of Roman numerals. English lessons have seen us turn into investigative journalists, crafting news reports about the missing children in the Amazon. Geography has taken us on a scorching trip to the Mojave Desert, where we explored how people have adapted to life in this dry environment. Science has been out of this world! We've travelled through the human timeline and are now blasting off to explore connections in space. Finally, our coding skills soared in computing as we programmed Lego helicopters to take flight – the children were coding whizzes! Don't forget, Maths Week London brought some extra fun with exciting problem-solving activities.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - We will be continuing with roman numerals.
Writing - In English we will be continuing to write our newspaper article.
Geography - We will be continuing our new topic, 'Would you like to live in the desert?'
Science - In Science we will be continuing with our new topic, 'Making Connections'.
