Nursery has had another busy few weeks.
In Phonics we have been looking at the sounds 'sh' and 'th' and learning about words that contain these sounds, such as 'shell' and 'thumb'.
In Maths we have been testing our number recognition skills and seeing if we can put the numbers into the correct order.
Our focus books for the past two weeks have been 'Harry and the dinosaurs go on holiday' and 'I'd rather go the Grandad's'. We have also been learning the Makaton signs for 'dinosaur', 'holiday' and 'lighthouse' and trying to use these signs when we read the stories.
In Music we have been practising saying our names in different ways, such as high pitched, very low, very quickly and very long. We then practised tapping out the syllables in our names using a drum and did an amazing job.
We continue to build upon our coding skills in Computing by using the Lego Coding Express train set.
In Art we have been thinking about different colours and what they might be used to represent. Such as red meaning angry, hot and love or blue meaning sad or cold.
Everyone has been very excited to see our caterpillars continue to grow. They have now turned into chrysalises and we cannot wait to see them hatch out into beautiful butterflies!
