In year 2, we have been learning:
Maths - we have been recapping all of the learning we have been working hard on all year.
Writing - the children have been learning about the features of a diary before planning, writing and then editing our own one.
Geography - in our topic, What is it like to live by the coast?, the children have looked at the human and physical features of the British coastal areas.
Science - in our topic, Live Cycles, the children have been looking at healthy living and how germs spread.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - we will continue to recap learning completed throughout the year, focusing on shape, space and measurement.
Writing - we will be looking at similes and using them to describe events in our new book, "The Tower Bridge Cat".
Geography - in our topic, What is it like to live by the coast?, the children will look at why people might visit the coast. They will collect data and then present it in different formats.
Science - we will be looking at balanced diets and what we need to consume (and not consume!) to live healthy lifestyles.
