Year 4 have been very busy over the past few weeks learning lots of different things!
In maths, we have been looking at symmetry in 2d shapes and how we can identify lines of symmetry using different methods.
In writing, we have started some language work which will help us to write our narrative next week. This has included looking at some different elements such as personification and metaphors as well as taking part in some drama.
In history, we have been looking at the Vikings and looking more into how they traded.
In science, we have been learning about animals; specifically looking at which animals are producers, predators and prey.
In art, we have been working hard on a whole class project to create a community picnic. We have each drawn and coloured various parts of the picnic to create one giant piece of work for our classes!
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - Consolidating knowledge about 2d shapes and solving problems.
Writing - Writing a narrative.
History - Continuing our work about Vikings.
Science - We are looking at various diets in the animal world.
Thank you to those parents who attended our High Ashurst meeting last week. Please see below for the slides and kit list.
