Year 3 have been busy little bees these past two weeks! In English, they've unleashed their creativity by crafting their own spell-binding stories. They've been working on including direct speech to bring their characters to life. This week, they've taken a step onto the stage, exploring playscripts and even acting out a scene from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.
Meanwhile, maths has seen them conquer fractions and move on to angles. They've been figuring out what makes an angle an angle, and can now identify a right angle with ease. And in Computing, they've had a blast using Lego to hone their coding skills. They were whizzes at finding and fixing any tricky bugs they encountered!
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - We are continuing our Angles topic by looking at what acute, obtuse and right angles are as well as understanding clockwise and anti-clockwise turns.
Writing - Next week we will be writing a playscript based on one of the scenes from ' A Midsummer Night's Dream'.
History - We will be looking at writing a response to the question 'Why did the Romans settle in Britain?'
Science - We will be looking over all our learning so far based on plants and will be completing an end of topic quiz.
