This week in English Year 1 have been exploring what makes good instructions. The children enjoyed following instructions to make paper aeroplanes and coptors, as well as following each others instructions to make lego models. In maths we have been using place value to make and partition numbers to 100. In art we have started creating our own flora and fauna piece of art. We carefully made a colourwash background using water colour paints and used card to print grass shapes on top. In science we have continued to find out about plants. We have been looking at seeds and making predictions about what we think they will grow into.
