In Reception we have had a fantastic start to the second half of the Autumn Term. We explored all things spooky when we read Room on the Broom and created spells for the witch as well as ordering broomsticks by height. We enjoyed exploring the story The Gruffalo this week and made some amazing junk models of our own Gruffalos.

In phonics we are continuing to blend our sounds and we are adding more and more sounds to our learning. We have now started to read some short phrases too.

We have also marked Remembrance Day in our classes and created an amazing poppy artwork with the help of Nursery.

This week in Nursery we have returned with positive smiles and an eagerness to learn.

We have been enjoying celebrating Diwali and learning how to stay safe for firework night. Whilst enjoying singing many songs, making spiders with clay and discussing how we spent Halloween!
