Leigh-ders For Progress is a group of parents, grandparents, community members, and educators whose mission is to provide detailed and accurate information to the patrons of the Leigh Public School District #39 regarding the secondary school bond issue on the November 6th ballot.
We believe that we have urgent needs and a fiscally responsible solution to addressing these needs.
We are excited about what this project will mean to our students and our entire community!
The bond has passed! Due in large part to the hard work of the Leigh-ders for Progess group and an overwhelming community support for the school. Following the bond passing the school received seven RFPs from interested companies. Just recently a selection committee comprised of school board members, school staff, and community members narrowed the field down to three companies (D-B Construction, Hausman Construction, Boyd-Jones Construction). On February 20th, the school board will interview the three companies selected by the building selection committee. Following the interviews a company will be selected and the design process will begin.
