In Georgia studies we look at United States history through the lens of Georgia. What was happening in Georgia or how did Georgia respond to the major U.S. events. Students will learn a broad understanding of historic events along with details from those involved in our state. The history will go from Native American tribes to 2000's.
Along with history students will cover geography of the state, economics, and modern characteristics.
Throughout the year we will be working to expand our critical thinking skills through researching, exploring, and expanding our historical thinking by using the inquiry process and critical thinking skills.
