Zoom Meeting Wednesday 5/6 at 1pm to go over major upcoming deadlines!!!!

April 27th to may 1st assignments

  • Watch videos 3-5 and add a Google Doc entry.

    • Remember, it is not my expectation for you to watch every minute of these videos unless you find it helpful. You should at least reference them and click through for examples.

  • You may review last week’s post for links to the playlist and the full timeline breakdown. No Zoom meeting this week, but we will schedule one for next week.

April 20th to April 24th assignments

There are 5 weeks remaining until the AP Portfolio submission date. Oddly, the submission date, May 26, is scheduled for the week AFTER Graduation. Just wanted to make these important notes before listing out assignment expectations.

The College Board has put together the BEST and clearest resources for understanding changes and the language of this portfolio. I am attaching video playlists and a timeline for you to take in the material. The first video is crucial for you to watch completely. If you want to skip ahead on later videos for the sake of time, that is OK. The videos are instructional resources to help and simplify for you.

This week: Watch video 1 “Developing Your Sustained Investigation” completely. Watch video 2 with skips as needed.

Assignment: Add an entry to our shared Google Doc with thoughts, updates, and questions. I will respond as needed with answers or suggestions.

Zoom Meeting Tuesday 4/21 at 10am to go over this end of year plan!!!!

April 14th to April 17th assignments

Digital Submission Site Review

Create an assessment of your progress to share with the teacher by completing the following:

Students who ARE submitting: log into the digital submission site. Make a written or typed list of everything that needs to be edited or added. Include the number of images missing, images that need to be retaken, if you have sufficient evidence of process (30%), if you have sufficient VISUAL evidence of synthesis of media and ideas.

Add the typed list (or a photograph of the written list) to the Google Doc that is titled with your name and shared with me. Do not create a new shared document! Continue to add to our ongoing communication.

Students who are NOT submitting: open your Student Google Drive and find the folder where you have collected images of your AP Portfolio work. Complete the same instructions as above for assessing your progress. This folder in your Google Drive is how you will submit the portfolio for your class grade.

*All AP Portfolio students must turn in written documentation of how much work they have already completed and what still needs to be done. All instructions for accessing the Digital Submission Site can still be found in Google Classroom.

April 6th to April 10th assignments

Going Deeper with Global Contemporary Artists

  1. Do this activity broken up into 2 parts as needed: Watch the AP Art History video linked. Pay attention to how Global Contemporary artists can inspire your own Materials, Processes, and Ideas.

  2. Take notes in the shared Google Doc (titled with your name) about one example that you relate to from the video.
