Responsibilities of the unit leaders will include the following:
Serve as a member of the School Improvement Team.
Work with administration and instructional coaches to lead PLCs.
Keep a log of attendance and minutes at each meeting and submit in the format provided by administration (this includes posting PLC agenda day prior to meeting and completing meeting minutes).
Promote professionalism and team spirit within the grade level and school and encourage the exchange of ideas among the teachers in the grade and school.
Serve as the grade level contact person to disseminate materials and information to grade level teachers.
Be proactive in supporting newer teachers to your unit.
