Parking:
There is a limited amount of parking for the number of staff members that we have. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
Front parking lot- Spaces in the center of parking lot are open for faculty and staff.
Roadside parking- please avoid parking on the road
Bus circle parking- limited space available
Lower parking area - next to playground - limited space available
Side parking lot
**Please do not park on the grass.
Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Awareness:
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires all public schools K-12, to identify and manage asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) located inside all school buildings. These requirements range from inspection to maintaining proper records regarding the management of ACBM in the schools.
The Local Educational Agency (LEA) must designate a person to ensure that the LEA complies with the AHERA requirements. Some of the designated person’s responsibilities are ensuring that custodial and maintenance personnel are properly trained, hiring accredited inspectors to locate and identify ACMB, maintaining records, notifications and re-inspections on a three-year cycle.
Visibility
Window coverings should be up unless a Lockdown is in process. Green cards should no longer be used.
Windows above classroom outside/inside access doors should not be covered.
Be cautious of meeting alone with students in a classroom or office with door closed.
Professionalism
Please be in place ready to fulfill responsibilities at your assigned times. Please take care of personal needs prior to duty times. Please avoid carrying/holding drinks when you are to be engaged working. (This does not include carrying water bottles around throughout the day, but, for morning duties with staff carrying shakes, energy drinks, coffee, etc.).
Fragrance-Free
Please avoid wearing perfumes and colognes. Please avoid plug-ins or similar fragrance items in the building. We have a number of staff member who are seriously affected by strong fragrances, and even light fragrances.
