Being a parent is the most important role that you have, but we want to make sure we have clear boundaries so children/students are clear and comfortable with their school routines while their parent is on-the-clock. Job responsibilities and professionalism are priority.
- Children of employees should go with car riders (K-1) until 3:45 p.m. and then may move on to their parent's room or in assigned area. For employee children in grades 2-5, they will stay in homeroom until late bus students are called. At that time, they will make their way to their parent's location.
- Children should not be following parents throughout the building when the parent is responsible for supervision of other students.
- Children should not be left to move freely throughout the building.
- Children who arrive early may go to the cafeteria from 8:00-8:20 a.m. They will be released to go to their homeroom at 8:20 a.m.
- Children of staff should not be in attendance at school on Teacher Work Days, Professional Development Days, or Parent/Teacher Conference days. It is the parent's responsibility to make arrangements for childcare.
