49 - Missing Completely
50 - Lowest grade based on performance
Number of grades to assign on average per week:
Reading - Minimum 2 grades per week
Writing/Spelling - Minimum 2 grades per week
Math - Minimum 2 grades per week
Sci/SS - Minimum 1 grade per week
Grades should accurately reflect ability:
Grades entered into Infinite Campus should be taken from grade level assignments. We do not record grades for differentiated work.
Report Cards-
If a child receives a lower grade in any area, a comment in response to the lower score is required.
In reading, a comment should be included regarding the reading level.
Self-reflection- if you have large numbers of students struggling- take a deep dive to determine why and reach out for support.
All teachers should include a minimum of one positive child-specific comment. Make it personal so families know that we care about their child and are happy to work with them.
