Hello!
Here are some information about my classes and a few student digital portfolios! We are working on some fantastic projects this year. This is just a little sample of the work we've done in Graphic Arts, 3D Design and Broadcasting Class so far.
I'm Mr Stoltzfus
I'm excited about all things tech, and loving the time to help develop and foster creativity in our young people here at LCHS. My background is television and filmmaking, and I have a degree in graphic design and interactive media. I live in Lancaster city and absolutely love it. It's a great place for a creative to live with an amazing art scene. I hope to encourage young people to be able to create positive change in their environments through problem-solving and beautiful design.
Graphic Arts - (Photography and Graphic Design) We spend a lot of time in Photoshop and other Adobe products learning how to create digital content!
3D design - 3d printing is a quickly growing field and we use various design tools to create 3d models. This class is very much about learning how to problem-solve. We teach "Design Thinking" methodology for product design.
Broadcasting - A select group of students tasked with producing the school's Morning show, which includes a YouTube broadcast of announcements and other news items. We also produce short films.
Digital Video Media Production - This is a class to teach production techniques to prepare them for Broadcasting class. This course is dual credit with College in High School with the University of Pittsburgh.
