NAME PLATE
Being the first model of the class, this project took some time. It resembles a phone on a stand with the creator's name on it. Very fun as it was the first opportunity to mess around in tinkercad, and the project got printed in the end.
Thingiverse Print
This was a fun chance to search for an object on thingiverse and print it out. Pictured above is the flopper from Fortnite. A minor change made to it was adding a small hole in its top fin so that it could be used as a keychain.
Isometric Drawing
For this project, students were given a piece of paper that depicted a specific combination of shapes with measurements on it. Depicted above is one of the isometric drawings translated onto tinkercad.
Chess Piece
This was probably the most challenging project to complete. Using the skills learned from past lessons, students had to design a chess piece with both parts from tinkercad and thingiverse. Only the skulls and the sharp spears coming out of the piece were made from tinkercad.
Monster Sculpting
Using this new website, SculptGL, it was possible to form monsters like one would by molding clay. At times, it was difficult to control and pieces would get messed up, but it was overall a fun and engaging assignment.
Drawing
For this assignment, students were tasked with drawing pieces and then transferring them onto the computer in the form of a 3D model. Pictured above, an eagles logo was drawn, transferred to tinkercad, and then put onto a flat cylinder
Funko Pop
This project tested our creativity and brought some personality into design. Resembling our hobbies and other liked things, the Funko pop model was to be decorated with all things related to the creator
Pumpkin Launcher
This project took place over the course of around two and a half weeks, where teams were created and worked to make a launcher that would aim to throw the pumpkin either the most accurately or the furthest out of the mass of teams
Cookie Cutter
This project used the skills developed in the past assignment of converting a drawing into a design by using a sketch and transforming it into a 3D model of a cookie cutter. As seen on the left, the cutter worked very well on the cookie and made a flawless imprint that translated well when baked.
Marble Roller
This was a more open-ended project that required a moving part in the design to carry the ball across the track compiled of others' projects. This one resembles a minecraft sword and had the main goal of turning down to let the ball go down the track. Due to imbalance of weight, that had to be moved on from. A gear with
Independent project- Phone Cady
For the final project, we hwere challenged with making anything that solved a given problem. This phone cady provides ample room for all sizes of phone and contains six spaces per each cady. it is able to be screwed into a wall for extra support and supports phones that need charging.
