Standing Desk Name
This is my name printed and it was placed on my desk to serve as a name tag.
Introducing thingiverse, Print a Thing
The crocodile came from thingiverse.com. I added a loop at the top so it can be used as a keychain.
Isometric Drawing:
The isometric drawing that I chose to do was very challenging and I wasn't able to figure out the top part of it.
Chess Piece
This is a rook that I designed from scratch. It consists of 22 different pieces.
Sculpture out of Digital Clay
For this project I used sculptgl, which is a platform where digital clay is used to create more natural shapes. I attempted to make a human. I used two separate shapes for the head and for the body.
Piece of Jewelry
My two pieces of jewelry are two ninja stars. The one on the right is the first one that I created and printed. Both were a challenge to make because I had to make them symmetrical.
Draw a Thing
For this assignment I had to draw something on a piece of paper and convert it into a 3d print. I chose to draw a banana.
Great Pumpkin Toss Contest Crossbow
For this project the class had to make a rubber band propelled device that could launch small 3d printed pumpkins. My partner and I chose to make a crossbow type mechanism. It had a sliding piece that was attached to two rubber bands on each side. Unfortunately the material was not strong enough for our design and the day of the contest our crossbow broke.
Cookie Cutter
I designed a cookie cutter. It is the Rivian Automotive logo. I imported it from the web and made it into this cookie cutter.
Marble Roller
My mechanism for the marble roller is made up of 4 different pieces. The first red piece catches the marble, then it rolls down the green piece, and then it falls into the red piece. The yellow piece is to hold the green piece. The green ramp can be positioned higher or lower. This will cause the marble to travel for longer or shorter periods of time.
Independent Project:
For my independent project I made a t-ruler holder. It was made for the art room, and is designed to hold 11 t-rulers. The biggest issue I ran into during the process was the fact that the print was too tall for the 3d printer. I had to find ways to make the design shorter so it fit.
