Graphic arts is a broad category of visual art that uses color, line, and tone to create two-dimensional images. It includes drawing, painting, photography, and typography. Graphic arts can be created by hand or with software. I chose to take this class, because I knew that this involved learning more about technology as well as photography, which I was very interested in. Though, I've just recently joined this class, I have already learned so much. So, please enjoy some of the photographs I took for this class so far!

First Design Project

This design is a name tag. I used photoshop to create my name in the font and size I liked best.

Tell A Story

This is one of the first assignments that I had to do. We had to take a picture and tell the class the story behind it. The story behind this picture was that I was actually right outside the school, with one of my very close friends enjoying the beautiful scenery outside on a snowy night.

FID Social Media Design

This design that was created in photoshop, was very cute but simple. This design was used to promote my school's winter dance.

Signs of Spring Assignment

This assignment truly shows the beginning signs of spring. It shows beauty, life, and emphasizes the changes in the weather.

This assignment was a poster for my schools play! I feel as though the shadow that I used truly shows the aura of Matilda.

This assignment was called the color assignment! This specific piece is called monochrome! I chose this as my favorite piece created during this assignment because I feel like all of these beautiful shades of purple complimented eachother very well!

The assignment was labeled "White Space"! I truly liked this assignment because of its simplicity and good vibes it sent!

This was my final project for the year! In this, I have created a new poster of inspiration for the guidance offices! I really like the balance of the color, and I'm glad I used this specific color scheme for the whole design.

This is the logo I designed for Mrs. Ulrich's art brand. I really like the font and the simplicity of this design.

This assignment was to take a picture of a staff member holding their favorite books! I really liked this assignment because in the process, I've discovered a room in the school that I never even knew existed.
