my first task was to make a nameplate for my workspace. it was a very simple all white design but it works perfectly just to mark my area.
this project was all about understanding the 3D printers and how to use them efficiently and safely. in this project i printed a minecraft sword keychain that is still on my lanyard. (i thought it would break)
in this project, I got to make a king and a pawn. the pawn was based on a more human-like figure and the king was based on a drill. this project was fun because we got to explore all the different objects within Tinkercad and even another website.
Our latest project was done in another app called sculptGL. we got to make a monster and explore the world of 3D print in other ways like a sculpting software.
in this task we got to make jewelry and i made earrings with an engraving in it. this project was harder than most because its hard to make a peice of jewelry with a flat bottom but i managed toi find a way.
in this project, I made a cool isometric drawing. this was definitely the hardest project to achieve because I had to learn a bunch of different shortcuts for Thingiverse. This project set me up for all future projects because I got comfortable using the app and understanding everything.
This project was our first group project where three of us made a working catapult to launch a small 3-D printed pumpkin. we as a group enjoyed being able to put all our ideas together to find what designs and modifications worked best. As seen to the left we went through a lot of trial and error and learned how to adapt to failure and make the needed adjustments. our catapult didn't do very well in the end and we were disappointed with its performance but the most important thing we took out of this project was the trial and error phases and discovering what worked best from computer to real life.
this was by far the most fun project we did due to the fact we got to make a cookie cutter of our choice and use it with real cookies. I decided to make a cookie cutter of my face because who wouldn't want to eat their face? after the printing of our cutter, we then had a bunch of batter and we made cookies and got to enjoy them. YUMMY!
In this project, we were tasked to make an object capable of transporting a marble ball down the wall. In the beginning, this project seemed simple enough but trying to add a moving part was very difficult. then we had to make sure the design wouldn't break while transporting the ball and it had to drop the ball exactly 5mm from the wall. after doing all that we also needed to make sure it works at least 95% of the time without failure. in the end, it was probably the best project because we went trough a lot of user testing and measurement to make sure it was as perfect as possible.
In this project I got to create my own design to make my life easier. I decided to make a phone holder for my car so I can see directions without having to look down. Also, if needed i can easily dial my homies and fam in case of emergency. For this project I had to measure out my phone and find the best way to put the phone holder in my car. I decided it would be best to use velcro and velcro it next to my steering wheel. I also added a charging hole so I can charge my phone while it gives me directions.
