Through the daily mile, students have been building their transition skills while also improving their regulation levels.

Students have thoroughly enjoyed working in the castle café, where they have been developing key organisational skills by setting up the café, laying tables, and creating menu cards.

The Castle Cafe has been a favourite among students, offering them a defined, functional environment in which to explore and develop their work skills. 

Students have been developing functional skills by maintaining the Castle Cafe area and tending to the gardens to keep them clean and tidy. 

Students have been actively developing their independence skills by preparing and cooking their own food items, as well as making snacks to sell at the Castle Café.

Students have been building their independence and actively transitioning to using symbols when requesting items inside and around the classroom. 

By using IT to support learning and participate in mathematical games, students have been enhancing their technology skills. 

By arriving at school, finishing their morning tasks independently, and choosing their favourite stories, students have been building key skills in independence.

To help them get ready to learn, students have been participating in sensory massages that promote self-regulation prior to starting learning tasks. 

Students have been actively self regulating and have been choosing and selecting their own activities to join in with. 

Students have been developing thier skills within PE lessons and have been actively participating in games and activities. 

Students have been identifying and recognsising emotions and have been exploring the differences between feelings.
